Code of Conduct & Media Consent
Thank you for registering for a Jesus Youth event! These guidelines are formed keeping in mind the safety of every participant and the smooth running of the gathering. Therefore, please make sure both parents and the child go through each point before signing it. Participants below the age of 18 should also sign the Parental Consent Form along with this Code of Conduct Form.
1. Every participant below the age of 18 at the start of the event will be considered as a child.
2. If the child is not accompanied by parents/guardians then the participating child needs to email the signed Parental Consent Form prior to the program or hand over the form at the registration counter before being admitted to the program. As per the national safeguarding policy, we would not be able to admit any child for the program without a fully completed Parental Consent Form.
3. The travel to and from the program venue is the responsibility of the parents/guardians or those whom the parents/guardians arrange to organise the travel.
4. Any safeguarding concerns regarding a participant’s wellbeing throughout the duration of the program is to be shared with the Responsible Person In Charge for this event.

1. I understand that I am expected to abide by the rules and the guidelines of the program which is communicated in this document.
2. I understand that I am not permitted to go outside the venue without the permission of the program coordinators. Permission will be given only in emergency situations and I will be accompanied by an adult assigned by the program coordinators.
3. On occasions, participants may be taken out of the venue for activities. During this time, I will adhere to the instructions outlined by the volunteers. I will remain with my allocated group and at no point leave the supervision of the volunteers.
4. I will maintain punctuality throughout the program. This includes waking up on time, being present for breakfast and sleeping at the said time.
5. I will remain in my allocated room at night. Under no circumstances will I enter into any other room, especially that of the opposite gender.
6. I will respect the personal space and boundaries of their fellow participants. Any form of unwanted physical contact, verbal harassment, or invasion of privacy is strictly prohibited.
7. I will ensure minimal usage of my phone during the program so that I can fully present. I understand that during sessions, workshops and prayer times, use of phones is prohibited.
8. I will report any concerns I have that affect my wellbeing or the wellbeing of any other young person during the program, to a trusted adult.
In the event of a child being found constantly breaking the regulations of the gathering, the parents of the child will be contacted and their participation will be discontinued. In such a situation, no refund will be provided.
We would like to ask for your consent to take photographs/videos during the program. These footages may contain images of you/ your child. It is likely that these images may be used as:
- a record of the activity or the event
- publicity material on leaflets/websites/magazines
- illustrations of the activities or events in published articles
Jesus Youth UK will take all steps to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform us immediately.
By signing this form, you give your consent for the use of these images as described unless you notify us otherwise.
I have read and understood the code of conduct mentioned above and I know that I will be asked to abide by them during the days of the retreat. I have also read and completed the Photo and Video consent section of this document.
